hello... can some body tell me if chatix is going down hill?? well if u wanna no why take a look at your chat mods. last night every 1 was in gay chat chatting away then gods gift too women decides too come in and start bitching and taking the piss out of every 1 then bout 5 mins later all the mods were in. it got that bad we had too red line the mods so we cudnt see them. they kept deisapearing in the side room singles chat. i wudnt normaly complain but in my eyes mods are surpoed too be there too calm the room down or boot any bad behavier i was a chat mod for chat avenue so i no how it works. too me this in bullying from moderators. if you live in england then u wud of heard on the news bout chatsites like this and bullying. its wrong and no one is gunna come bck with mods like these. im not here too cause any trouble what so eva just think it needed too be adressed.

this person has made a very level headed and calm observation, he was not accusing or slanderous, and i think his observations should be investigated.  maybe this is not the place to do it, but we often say where there's smoke there's fire and there sure has been alot of smoke lately.

personally i think if you actually spend enough time in chat to be a moderator, well you need to evaluate that,  mayb the sad thing is that those who actually do don't have the right personalities to do the job.  i really prefer unmoderated chat myself, use the mute button, or the redline or whatever it is if someone irritates you.

feel free to correct me if im wrong but you cant redline mods  and u wouldnt know which room they were in unless they were logged in blue which they rarely are and isnt there only 3 mods at the moment one of whose internet is dwn i believe so maybe the op isnt being entirely truthfull?

A few points need addressing to this post.

1. Candy is correct, you cannot redline moderators. which Lee you would know if you were a avenue moderator.

2. Moderators names are only green or blue.

3. God's gift to women is not a moderator. (you wouldn't see moderators move to other room's)

4. Someone was caught pretending to be a moderator in the gay room a few nights ago, logged in multiple times, he was removed at the time, other chatters were a witness to this.

5. Chatix is not going downhill, speaking to the owner last night, (yes he was logged in when this was supposedly happening) the number of users is actually on the increase, he has been watching closely,

First of all can I thank Lee for opening up this thread... I think it's important that we all have an opportunity to voice our opinions whilst ensuring they are, as Lisaw stated,  'not accusing or slanderous'.

Most of Lee's comments have been addressed by Candy and Lame however, I feel strongly about the accusation of bullying mods although, it is clear that on this occasion it was simply a case of mistaken identity.  Now, I know that bulling mods exist and I've both experienced and observed such moderation however, I can vehemently stress that that it's not an approach that either myself or others agree with!!

I also want to say that I spent quite some time in chat last night however, I wasn't in gay chat when it all kicked off but having read Lee's post it seems a theme ran through chat last night as a similar thing happened in the lounge!  And for speaking up I was labelled 'power mad' ? 

Finally, I want to ask, do we really have to attack individuals in the name of 'banter' to make chat a fun place?  Don't we all want a chat room where newcomers and regulars alike feel welcome and enjoy their stay?  In my opinion we will only achieve that if chatters are tolerant of one another and show respect to each other!

ok i understand what ur saying but couple weeks back we had a a chatter in claiming too be the admin of mods named the chatmaster with funky writeing then he said no mods have colour anymore they just have funky names.. these so called mods all had funky names and they kept going frm gay chat then of to the side room called singles chat.. i thought it was strange we cud red line them but we did and pissed of bck too singles chat. then they wud be bck into gaychat. and i dont mean single chatroom i mean the side room of gaychat... so basically we were  told mods dnt have colour anymore they jut have fuky names which is what they had.... theres no supposedly about it it happand go ask the chatters..

Sounds like someone took you for a fool then lee. All mods are green or blue in chat. The mods in forums are Red for Admin, Orange for Forum mods, and Green for Chat Moderators (if they so wish to have that status here in forums).

Ha! I remember someone once telling me they were the police and were logging my messages. Was far too funny - so I just flooded their pm with lots of obscene words and told them to come and get me... I'm still waiting! lol
